HI there. I just want anyone to know before renting from the apartment at 8520 clark st (they are near 22/86th in west des moines)The apartments are nice they are updates and cheep utilities. Dont get me wrong there. I have never lived there but I know most of the people that live there because a friend lives there and its only an 8 plex. But anyways there is a girl upstairs who likes to start drama with anyone and it doesnt matter who you are they peep out their windows and they have slashed peoples tires. she constantly calls the landlord on anything. and the landlord is very rude and will stand at your door listening. she tells you who you can have in your apartment and also tries to run background check on everyone who visits your apartments. And I know of at least two different apts(the ones open) that they have hit their 1 year lease and she just tells they get out for whatever reason and gives people thirtyday notices and they says oh now ill giveyou a three day notice. her and the girl upstairs always call the cops on people and the cops are tired of it. we have only been over there maybe once a month but we hear all this because we know someone going through this krap and have had to go out there on a few occasions to settle the drama. long story short dont move here because i would not want a creepy noisy landlord if my life depended on it. people steel they pour bleech in your laundry if you forget in the dryer or washer, its just not a good place that is safe especialy if you have children. they are a lot of peeping toms in the apartment. Its just a really bad and creepy and drama filled complex. just thought i would give you a little insight from someone who would not need to have a grudge and just make stuff up because ive never lived there but ive seen it. good luck in your search.
ps these apts are not worth 595. they are no THAT nice. you can find better
