Emerging small engineering and planning firm located in Des Moines seeks an Environmental Engineer capable of designing, managing, and coordinating their own projects.
A qualified applicant will have a broad experience with civil engineering related projects and an expertise with water and wastewater design. Applicant must be capable of producing engineering construction documents and specifications for water and wastewater treatment systems, water distribution & storage systems, storm and sanitary sewer conveyance systems, & pumping stations. Experience w/ SSES studies, rehabilitation of sanitary & storm sewers is preferred.

Other duties will include, but not limited to: proposal writing, report & study writing, marketing, client relations, public meetings, QA/QC, & training staff engineers.

Must have PE in the State of Iowa or the ability to obtain license w/in 6 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Possess strong analytical capabilities and ability to manage tasks associated with development of projects.
Fully competent in analysis and assessment of power and electrical systems.

Responsible for cost effective engineering of commercial temperature control systems as they relate to the HVAC system in general. As part of an installation team, review project plans, specifications, and other related documents, prepare CAD hardware installation drawings, procure control products, and coordinate material and information flow to the field installation personnel. Will also assist in project commissioning and trouble shooting.

Principal Job Duties:
