Ok, before you turn this into an anti-Obama tirade, finish reading the snopes post you listed as a fact check.

1. It clearly states that it will not likely pass.
2. It is bi-partisan and brought before congress on the local level. Therefore no great conspiracy headed by Obama himself.
3. It would not make it illegal to own a fire-arm, but would create provisions to hold additional information - a passport photo.
4. No one is trying to "fly-under-the-radar", it merely does not have enough power or opposition to garner any attention.
5. You are not taxed every year for ownership. You will be taxed or must report a sale though. This is to prevent you selling the gun to a local gang member.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't be on the lookout for items like this that erode our right to bear arms. However, don't distort the truth to spread fear-mongering propaganda, especially when you provide the link to the truth with it.

If you have a gun, I hope it isn't registered!

Senate Bill SB-2099 will require us to put on our 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own... It
will require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.
This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24, 2009, by the Obama staff. BUT . . this bill will only become public
knowledge 30 days after the new law becomes effective ! This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act o f 1986.
This means that the Finance Committee has passed this without the Senate voting on it at all. Trust
Obama ? ..... you must be kidding !

The full text of the IRS amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage,U.S. Senate You can find
the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099.
<Text of H.R.45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 - U.S....
OpenCongress |

Obama's Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals
if you don't fully comply.

It has begun . . . Whatever Obama's secret Master Plan is....this is just the 'tip of the iceberg!'

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm
Licensing & Record of Sale Ac t of 2009.|

Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar as a 'minor'
IRS revision, and, as usual, the 'political' lawmakers did not read this bill before signing and approving it !

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing
& Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

-It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver's License -You supply your Social Security #
-You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -Each update - change or ownership
through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to
own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305
stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the
right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is
punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many opt ions to read this. It is long and
lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass
this along.|

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have
no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not..

I have to admit that I do not know what to think anymore when it comes to American and the
people in charge. How did Cheney get to be into the position he was? He was a buddy of
the right people. It’s the same thing with a vast majority of the people in power in DC.
It’s not what you know but whom you know! We practice that in our daily lives as well. They
get to do it on a much larger scale, and with our money.

Voting for independents or non-incumbents is not going to change the face of DC. I believe
that independents are thrown into the voting pool to draw votes away from certain candidates.
Ralph Nader was a perfect example. He was a pawn used to give the appearance that America
is not completely a two party system. Even if all Americans vote independent, the votes can
easily be changed to favor the candidate of "their" choice. We have had obvious cases of
voter fraud in at least the last few elections. The new voting machines are completely
digital, with no paper trail to be used as a 100% accurate re-count tool. The manufacturers
and programmers have even stated that they write and install programs that give them the
ability to alter the counts from a satellite location. Our elections are a farce.

"United we Stand, Divided we fall"......Never have truer words been spoken. But try to get
the die-hard NFL fan to think about something other than the next football game, or try to
convince the neighbor's wife that there are more important things than getting her nails
done! Those in power know this. Even those of us who think we know what is happening have
no choice but to continue life as usual. It would take the entire US to stand up and show up
in DC to protest the direction of our country. Will that happen? Not a chance. The people
are not that interested in anything other than their own personal gratification of choice,
whatever that may be.

Even if we were able to get things to change for the better, we would drastically have to
change our lifestyles to ensure we did not fall into the same situation again. Even though
I think that Americans have the ability to do so, I doubt it will happen. I still have hope.
But I think it is going to take a major "kick in the balls" for anyone to even care.

I sure do hope we can wake up....soon!

14. Pro-Israel $247,900 -WHAT?????????? (below)

Why is a FOREIGN GOVERNMENT's interest #14 on a US Senators contribution list? Don't get me wrong I am neither Pro nor Anti Isreali but this borders on TREASON selling out Us interests to ANY foreign country is DISPICABLE whether it be our allies (usually) like Isreal, England etc neutral like China or problem countries like North Korea, Iran etc I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS. Isn't Chuick supposed to be representing Iowa and didn;t he take an oath of allegiance the the US? Now Isreal were to become our 51st state and Chuck wants to move there and represent them then I would be completely ok with this assuming the majority of Americans supported the idea. I have never though of it so have no opinion at this time. I feel we have enough on our hands with two wars and 10% unemployment hey but the Dow is doing GREAT and it's BONUS TIME (AGAIN) on WALL STREET! Hurray! We may have something here because the Mossad is way ahead of the CIA on human intel in the Middle East and would REALLY help in our war on terror and I have alot of respect for the IDF in the Six Day War and Yom Kippur War. And no I'm not anti-Muslim either. I feel politically BOTH parties have blood on their hands in this conflict and both the Torah and the Koran (as well as the Bible) all forbid murder especially in the name of God/Allah. If they (and we) would simply READ and FOLLOW their (and our) religion's ACTUAL beliefs we wouldn't be having these problems.

15. Crop Production & Basic Processing	$214,295 - Agriculture again self-explanatory

16. Retail Sales	$214,257 Too bad they're 14th! would rather Chuck focus on helping Main Street and growing jobs in America than help Wall Street grow jobs in China, India and everywhere else EXCEPT the US.

17. Misc Manufacturing & Distributing	$209,575 - American jobs again (hopefully) companies that actually make stuff and employ people 17th place room for improvement on this one

18. Business Services	$205,935 ok this could be alot of things no comment

TV/Movies/Music	$197,971 in Iowa??? I know Hollywood has been shooting in Michigan and other places more recently but not aware of any recent movies or TV shows in Iowa? This is mostly a California and NY "special interest"*

* maybe there is an upcoming series the Real Housewives of Des Moines that I was unaware of.

Automotive	$189,800 ok we all need cars and GM and Chrysler needed money I guess. Too bad Toyota (a foreign company) became #1 by building as many cars as they could and openings factories in the US as possible and GM tried to ship as many jobs to Canada and Mexico as possible closing US factories and opening factories overseas under NAFTA very disappointing. Free Trade has worked GREAT for Wall Street, Mexico, Canada and China! Maybe Wall Street with the help of Washington can get our trade deficit up the $1 Trillion in 2009! It was $677.1 billion in 2008. GREAT JOB GUYS. We should re-elect ALL of you! Maybe our GDP can eventually get to $0.

Ok thats all for now I need to get some sleep and this took a few hours of research and analysis and I would rather base things on facts and figures instead of just BS opinions like Fox "News" and MS-NBC et al.. "Figures never lie and liars always fugure." right. Maybe I'll research the other Senator Tom Harkin next to be "Bi-Partisan" or one our five Congressmen next if you'all want more.

"Ask not what you can do for your country but what the lobbyists and special interest groups can do for you" the theme of 111th Congress.

"In the past few weeks, though, I have come to many new realizations. First, and
foremost, WE HAVE BEEN TRICKED. The division of left and right, Democrat and
Republican is the biggest side-show we have ever witnessed. The squabble between
the two parties have been nothing but a distraction to keep Americans busy as
policy and our future is decided behind closed doors and under scrupulous
circumstances. Why is it that our representatives fight and demand change of each
other in the public eye, but when the camera is off they drink, eat and socialize
together in one social circle?

Cnn, MSNBC, Foxnews and any other networks you can think of, have not done their
job as journalists and whistle-blowers. Americans watch their news channel of choice
and suck up the propoganda of the day! It is all a load of garbage set forth for all
to take in and a majority of us buy into it. I did.

The politicians are simply drones that do the will of the banks, corporations and
enviromentalists..."

Welcome to the world of the enlightened brother make sure you have anyone you know either vote for anyone except a "D" or an "R" or have them vote against the incumbent if no third party candidate is available that's our ONLY HOPE for REAL democracy and REAL change WE CAN BELIEVE IN. Otherwise will have to get petitions for a Constitutional Convention in 2010. Maybe that would be the catalyst for DM's theory of Martial Law in 2010? They got the guns (M1 tanks, M2 Bradleys, M16 rifles, M4 carbines, AH-64 Apaches, A-10 Warthogs and now Predator drones etc) but WE GOT THE NUMBERS!

The problem is the powers that be don't want to lose power when people are upset with them so they don't publish who the incumbent is on the ballots hoping people will just go party line or vote for the name that sounds most familiar since most Americans in this last 60 years lack the discipline to actually find out who their elected officials are, what their voting record is (if they even show up regularly to vote at all) and are content in letting either Fox News or MS-NBC (depending on their political ideology) tell them what to think. It used to be these "news" shows would have a conservative and a liberal on let them argue their point and if you had a good enough BS filter and access to the internet you could eventually figure out who is full of sh*t on which talking points (because they ALL are at least partially full of sh*t) and come to some kind of a conclusion for yourself, (CNN still has a mix of different political ideologies and doesn't appear to be a propaganda machine for either side) but they don't report the divisive hardcore political battles like MS-NBC and Fox. So now you have to watch a mix of Matthews, O'Reilly, Olberman, Hannity and Maddow with your BS filter turned on high then do some research to attempt to find the REAL truth about anything. Which is very time consuming and just leaves you pissed off and disgusted with almost everyone in Washington.

Regarding the Martial Law in one year you may be right it's hard to tell at this point. Keep in mind Bush/Cheney brought us the closest to a totalitarian state than we have ever been with their treasonous Patriot Act and his executive orders almost proclaiming him the King of America like we are some kind of damn monarchy. Obama promised to end all the unconstitutional policies of Bush / Cheney and to my knowledge nothing has actually "changed" yet except there is, an as yet unfulfilled order to close Guantanamo and withdraw from Iraq by when? not looking very likely. If any Dems out there have any info to the contrary please reply with reliable sources of information as I have found NOTHING one way or the other and the "news" agencies don't seem interested in reporting on this. Fox probably wouldn't report it because, although it would be useful to attack Obama with HIS OWN RECORD instead dubious "character" assaults, like used against McCain in 2000 and all recent Karl Rove-oriented politics, I'm sure Fox News realizes that by reporting this they would also be impeaching the reputation of good ole Dick Cheney, our draft dodging former Secretary of Defense (Bush I) and VP (Bush II). What the hell possessed Bush I, a man whom I respect who actually SERVED our country, regardless of whether one likes his politics or not, to appoint a draft dodging political weasel like Dick Cheney who NEVER served his country AT ALL and had NO QUALIFICATIONS at all to be Secretary of Defense? I mean Bush II appointing to VP is understandable, if political blowhards can be Pesident then why not Vice President? The problem is that it confuses Americans with a BS resume. When I voted Bush / Cheney in 2000 I figured... well I'm not so sure about Bush Jr, but at least he has Cheney (the Scty of Defense under his father) as VP and I ASS-U-ME-d that he must be some kind of retired General or Admiral etc or at least Colonel or Commander (O6?) judging Bush II's Texas Air National Guard service as dubious at best for his credentials. That was a mistake I would live to regret. I should have known that ASSUMING make an A** out of U and ME. And the joke was on me by 2003... "Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again'"

We are not the World Police. Cheney claims they kept us safe for the last 7 years AFTER we were attacked and he, Bush and Tenet (appointed by Clinton) were asleep at the wheel with the intel on Al Qaeda plans at CIA Langley, perhaps it wasn't a conspiracy just complete INCOMPETENCE AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS. Why do we have field operatives and billions of dollars of intelligence hardware if no one was ANALYZING the data? At least Tenet was fired for his incompetence... mybe we should fire the CIA and hire the Isreali Mossad they seem to have the sh*t together on human intel. We are (or were pre - 9/11) the World's Richest AND Most Powerful country with a First-Rate military and a Second-rate intelligence agency. Not sure if it was Clinton or Bush probably both since Tenet served under both. And NO ONE here in the US government was EVER held accountable for the preventable loss of life in New York and at the Pentagon. But then again we just passed the one year anniversary of the awesome Wall Street crash that lost us over $1 Trillion in market capitalization and NO ONE has been held accountable for that either (Goldman Sachs, AIG, SEC Chairman Christopher Cox fomrer R-CA, Hank Paulson Treasury Secretary, former Goldman Sachs exec, Alan Greenspan former Fed Chairman (1987-2006 appoined by Reagen then served Bush I, Clinton and Bush II and former BOARD MEMBER of J.P. Morgan - now JP Morgan Chase) - he publicly went on record endorsing the idea of Credit Default Swaps and CDO's prior to the collapse - UNBELIEVEABLE.

"United We Stand. Divided We Fall."

And what do you think the RNC, DNC, Fox News, MS-NBC and all the LEFT and RIGHT wing supposed "grass roots" groups are doing?
