I have for sale a Wayne Safety release valve. I believe these are referred to as kunkle valves. The threaded portion is 2 1/2" and the threads look good to me. Among other things, I think these can be found on steam engines (which would make sense since the previous owner had a steam engine). I don't see anything obviously damaged. Other than that, I'm afraid I don't know much about it as I just got it in a box of misc on an auction.
