This set of drafting Compass instruments was used by designers in the 1960s to create manufacturing drawings of products. The set includes two sizes of dividers, inking and pencil instruments. The instruments are in excellent, near new condition and the exterior of the case is somewhat weathered.
I believe the main arms of these instruments are made of chrome plated or polished stainless steel because they're not attracted by a magnet and I think they're heavier than aluminum. The other parts are chrome plated steel because they are attracted by a magnet.
