These chairs are solid sturdy, and they need painted because you can make them your own. Then this would be a fun project, but these are very solid wood and have bolts on each leg, like oak. I do have a fourth chair. I was planning on keeping, but if you need it for the set an extra 15 and that is firm for all of them.
