Several years ago, it wasn't used for a full season. It wouldn't start the next winter and the gas had to be drained and carburetor replaced.
Unfortunately, I didn't learn from my mistake and the same thing happened last year.
When you use it, it's fantastic, but I don't use it enough to keep it in good shape.
