USA-made 1980s Fender Champ 12. Two channels kick out 12 -watts through an upgraded Celestion 12” speaker; includes original wired-in foot-switch. Power comes from 2×12AX7s in the preamp, and one 6L6GC power tube. It’s cathode biased, so no need for re-biasing after a power tube swap. Clean and overdrive channels include spring reverb.
I bought it used, and the gray Tolex is beat, especially on top. After I cleaned it up and re-tubed it, I reinstalled a homemade back panel, crude but effective. I also installed Fender tilt-back legs to use it onstage with my band, and it includes a cover.
This thing can easily keep up in a club, and I mic it onstage to use with a ten-piece horn band, easy peasy. Some don’t like the OD, but if the gain is kept low, the blues crunch is unbeatable. Fender has never done a good wide-open drive, IMHO.
Make no mistake, this thing has a LOT of “mojo” and makes a killer little “grab-and-go,” perfect for, say, the Greenwood Lounge.
If it is listed, it is for sale; no trades, please.
