This ad is for a factory sealed, unused, internal PATA or IDE hard disk drives in an unopened retail box. If you don't know what a PATA or an IDE drive is, this isn't for you because it requires you to open up your desktop computer, mount this, hook up the cables, and prepare the drive for use through your operating system. These were used in older desktop computers and will NOT hook up to SATA cables as found in newer desktops. Will also not work in any laptop, even an old one. It was made by Maxtor which was bought out by Seagate. It is a Diamond Max model.

This would be ideal to replace an old hard drive in an old computer. Be sure your computer uses this kind of drive before getting it though since it will not work with newer machines. I will not return it if you figure out it isn't the right one for you after you take it home.

I do have internal SATA drives, external drives, docking stations, a few used PATA drives and other things in separate listings.

I need to simplify my life and get rid of many, many things that I finally admit I will never have time to use. Apparently, I put things in different places and forgot about them so I ended up buying more of the same thing. Often the project just never got worked on and the pieces were just forgotten about as I went on to the next project .

To that end, I am cleaning house and want to get rid of some things that have been laying on the shelf for too long. If I haven't used them by now, I never will. I have just piled things here and there in my house for too long, it is time to sell them since I obviously don't need them or I would have used them by now. I am not desperate so I won't let them go at give away prices, but I think these prices are very reasonable.

It's craigslist, so cash only and will meet in a very public place for our mutual safety, usually at the South side of the Burger King parking lot at 73rd and Buffalo Road, near Sam's Club in Windsor Heights. Might do PayPal, but I'm not a business, so no credit cards unless PayPal allows that without a fee.
