Panama Transfer Inc. is seeking dependable and safety-focused Daytime Route Drivers or Night linehaul between terminals to support our LTL operations. This position involves transporting freight between terminals and/or customer locations overnight, ensuring timely and efficient delivery within our regional network.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned linehaul routes during night hours.
Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
Hook/unhook trailers and secure freight as required.
Accurately manage and submit bills of lading, logs, and other necessary documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates, incidents, or delays.
Use electronic logging devices (ELDs) to maintain accurate HOS records.
Occasionally assist with freight handling, including use of pallet jacks or forklifts (if needed).
Maintain compliance with company policies, DOT safety standards, and federal regulations.

Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL.
Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required within 90 days of hire (Company assistance available to obtain).
Clean MVR and safe driving history.
1–2 years of recent CDL-A driving experience preferred, especially in LTL or linehaul environments.
Must pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
Ability to work overnight shifts, operate independently, and stay alert for long durations.
Hold a current medical card.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience with LTL freight or terminal-to-terminal operations.
Knowledge of ELD systems and DOT compliance.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Good communication and customer service abilities.
Physical Requirements
Sit for long periods and drive extended distances.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds.
Climb in and out of trucks/trailers and perform basic freight handling tasks.
